Cleveland’s central business district is where office buildings are getting converted into new uses, often residential. On downtown’s lakefront, however, a mostly residential building was just purchased and may get converted to offices by its new owner — someday.

Cleveland’s newest lakefront high-rise is hard to miss while traveling along the West Shoreway Boulevard by Edgewater Park. Thousands pass by it daily and watched it rise since April 2025. But if you wondered what the views from it look like, NEOtrans climbed to the top to capture and share them.

The Port of Cleveland and Milo Harbour Inc. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to initiate a new cross-lake truck ferry service between Northeast Ohio and Southern Ontario. But if you’re looking to catch a ride as a passenger, your ship has yet to come in.

In 2018, IKEA walked away from Cleveland after the search for a buildable site fell through. Nearly a decade later, the Swedish home and furniture supplier will return with a brand-new concept for Northeast Ohio.

While numerous Ohio City developments are transforming historic buildings into new sources of activity, the popular Cleveland neighborhood continues to make progress on a series of new construction projects.

For days, Crocker Park’s owner Stark Enterprises has teased the opening of a new tenant at the suburban Westlake lifestyle center. And from all indications, that tenant is a retailer that Cleveland doesn’t yet have. On Tuesday, we’ll all find out for certain.
