Cleveland to get 65 Near West Side homes

CHN Housing Partners has been actively developing dozens of “infill” homes on existing vacant
lots in recent years. Although this has been happening primarily on Cleveland’s East Side with
its Parkside and Home Homes, seen above. Now their work will extend to the city’s West

CHN Housing Partners (CHN) announced it received an Ohio Low Income Housing Tax Credit (OLIHTC) award and a 4-percent Low Income Housing Tax Credit allocation from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) for its planned construction of Near West Side Homes.

As Glenville’s stock of older — and largely historic — buildings continues to shrink, new construction is rushing to fill some of the lost supply. Much of that development aims to cater to specific needs, such as for seniors, veterans, or individuals with disabilities.
